On September 7, 2024, as part of the China–Africa Cooperation Forum, President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo visited Liaoning Province, where he was warmly welcomed by Party Secretary Hao Peng and Governor Li Lecheng.

Accompanied by Minister of Hydrocarbons Bruno Itoua, the delegation toured Ginda Energy Group to review the progress of the Nangia-2 Oilfield Project (which officially began drilling on August 8, 2024) and the 5 million ton refinery project. Drilling results have already confirmed productive oil-bearing layers.

After the talks, Minister Itoua inspected Ginda’s refinery equipment production lines, expressing satisfaction with progress and thanking the group for advancing refinery construction in Congo.

He also toured Ginda’s special vehicle subsidiary, where General Manager Li Wenliang introduced product development and industrial layout. Minister Itoua praised the group’s diversified capabilities and identified new areas for cooperation.

The delegation included senior officials from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, while the Ginda leadership team — joined by refinery experts from Huaxin Heavy Industry Group and Ginda Energy Group — participated in the reception and discussions.
